The Gulf of Guinea Hub launched officially in September 2024 in Monrovia, Liberia, during an IAEA Training course in the region with a hybrid event attended by GOA-ON co-chair Professor Jan Newton, the OA Africa Hub co-chairs Nayrah Shaltout and Sheck Sherif, as well as GOA-ON EC members Sam Dupont and Lina Hansson from the OA-ICC.
